Maize status table

The New column shows the number of new clones. The Diff column shows the drop in contigs. Though the markers join some contigs, their role is mainly confirmation, anchoring, and information. Note that we are tapering off on the decrease of contigs, though we are increasing the number of large contigs. Also, the number of singletons is increasing; this is a phenomenom that was also seen with the human genome map.
